What’s For Dinner? Helen’s Pork Chop Casserole

Ok as promised here’s what we had for supper tonight, it’s one of my family’s favorites, probably in the top 3 of all time.

Helen’s Pork Chop Casserole


  • 6-8 boneless pork chops, lightly browned with flour, salt and pepper
  • 1 regular can cream of mushroom soup (10 3/4 oz.)
  • 8 oz. sour cream
  • 2/3 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 tsp ginger
  • French fried onions


  1. Put browned pork chops in casserole dish
  2. Mix sour cream, soup, ginger, chicken broth, and a handful of fried onions
  3. Pour over pork chops and cover
  4. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour
  5. Uncover and top with remainder of onions
  6. Bake 5 more minutes
